Left Over Models and Cal./49 State Bike differences

I live in both Arizona and So. California. I am interested in getting a bike but was wondering if there are any differences (Smog Crap) on the Cal and 49 State models if there is such a thing with the SuperHawk?

Do any of you know of dealers that have some killer deals on left over models as well? I work for the airlines so flying somewhere to get a bike is not a problem for me.

Thanks,

Joe

welcome aboard.

yes, there are "smug" crap differences between the CA model and other ones. Frankly, there is only a couple of pounds of extra weight, so not a big deal really... it is only that charcoal canister that is hanging out in the front of the CA model, that is taking away from the looks.

All of that can be modified (if you are not in CA of course) in an hour or so, with yanking and pulling stuff out.

there must be many places that have left over superhawks, and you should be able to get a great deal on some.

You should also be able to pick up a used one, for a very good price too.

If you can pick up an 49 state bike cheaper, go for that. There's no penalty in Cali for registering a 49 state bike.

If you can pickup a Cali-Spec bike cheaper, do it and don't worry about it. You can yank all the stuff off.
