jardine high mount, my views on it
well i finally got around to putting on the jardine highmount i bought from shoshere on here. let me tell you, its sexy, real nice piece of equipment. installation was a breeze. took all of 30 minutes. gotta get 2 exhaust clamps as the ones on my bike are a little too large. but its tight so i fired it up anyways. and the sound is, well, its just, fuken amazing. its deep and angry, growls. cant describe the sound, its just wicked, beats the hell out of the stock drilled cans.

Yep...you can't beat that sound. My dad has a SuperHawk as well. It has drilled cans. It sounds pretty pathetic next mine with shortened Jardines.
|
yeah man, the sound is night and day, and i crack the throttle just a little and oh man, just pure sex :D
|
i wasnt impressed with the sound... everyone likes different sounds though.
|
im surprised, i love the sound. i cant wait to take it out and hear that bitch at 10 000 rpm.
|
If you only drilled some holes in the first baffle then ehhh.....it'll still sound like shit. If you drill it OUT, remove it and drill some holes in the next baffle they sound just as good as aftermarket pipes. I do remember my first superhawk and my first exhaust-the jardines. I was like a kid at christmas when I first fired it up and thought I'd blow my dad's tools off the wall lol. There are others that sound a little deeper/better but for the money you can't beat the look and the sound. Post up some pics.
|
My friend has a Superhawk with Two Brothers high mount pipes. I think it is one of the best sounding bikes I have ever heard!

I have heard in person Superhawks with Two Brothers,Jardines, D&D's, Yoshimura's. I think I may be biased but the WileyCo's have sounded the best to my ears.

Did shortening the cans affect your jetting?

She's been to 10500 a few times at the limiter by accident. Lol. Honda wouldn't let a motor rev higher than its safe to do so. It just won't make power up there :)

I have the Jardine RT-1's and was a bit disappointed with the sound at first. They seem to need time to burn in (out?) and sound much better now.
Couple of vids. First one was with a still camera on video setting. Sound isn't great but you can hear the pipes on occasion. http://www.youtube.com/user/Fshnargl.../2/GSBstP8Li5I Second one is with a microphone fitted to the back of the bike. the sound needs cleaning up a lot, but still..... http://www.youtube.com/user/Fshnargl.../0/4z6NXR1gY_8 |
Can't view the vids on my blackberry. Well I can but I'm not gonna strem them till I get home. Mine are getting shortened this week a little bit. Hopefully they turn out alright :)
