RocketGarage Cafe Racer: HONDA VTR FIRESTORM ‘THE ROGUE’

They missed a huge styling que mixing 3 spoke front w/ 5 spoke rear. For that reason (as they say on shark tank), I'm out. :)

But it's a fabulous exercise in minimization. Beautiful bike!

Old school seat, turns, air filters and headlight mixed with tech. Techmix. Wheres the short sissy bar?

RobertLever 08-25-2013 07:26 AM

I like the air filters poking out through the fuel tank.
I bet it STILL holds more fuel than the stock Honda tank!
;)

Interesting as Mr Spock would say but there are so many things wrong I don't know where to start or have the time to do so...

nnjhawk02 08-28-2013 08:42 AM

Different for sure - but I'm always suspect when I see a radiator or an oil cooler sitting that low & directly behind the front wheel. (in this case its the rad) Think of all the shyte that hits use when we ride, especially on a hiway with an 18 wheeler kicking shit up in front of ya, eh?

supermarto 08-30-2013 08:03 AM

Wow... Tough crowd.

7moore7 08-30-2013 09:10 AM

^Haha, I'm sure everyone would ride it given the chance...

The rear brake resevoir is mounted at a goofy angle. Junk.

Letsrideinsc 08-30-2013 09:21 AM

I like it. I didn't click on link yet. But at first glance, must be the Veradero engine with those pods sticking out from under the tank. Likely FI. For that lower radiator, I'd louver some aluminum sheeting to go over it, I mean there's tons of airflow right there at hwy speeds, I'm sure it stays plenty cool. But stopped, or around town I dunno. At least it would prevent a rock from penetrating the radiator at speeds, but who's riding this "at speed".

A+ for putting together a sick ride. Yea, they should have splurged for the RC front wheel.

Edit, well, I now see the idle adustment knob. so looks like carbs.

Killemall 08-30-2013 11:49 AM

Hahahaha seriously. I'll take 2 of those ( the bike and the girl ). Beautiful!

98VTRrider 08-30-2013 12:51 PM

at the Work-in-progress pic, looks like they were originally going to go with a fuel tank under the seat, but the later pics it's not there and the subframe is a little different.

supermarto 08-30-2013 02:37 PM

I'm just saying... Personally I think this example is 1000% head and shoulders above any other VTR on this forum that laid claim to being a "cafe racer" superhawk.
