High Mileage Shawks

I know that there are a bunch of shawk owners with +50K on your rides.

I found this a while ago and was thinking that some of you might like to share your thoughts on this.

read this

I was a little worried back in 98' when I bought my shawk (my first V-twin) that it might not have the longivaty of an in-line four. Cuz I've owned a few big bore thumpers and they've tended to burn oil. Also I think an in-line is inherently a longer lasting motor, more automotive like.
But I took a chance on the V-twin and haven't regreted my choice. I think Honda's actually conservative as far as balancing performance with longivaty. (low compression is one choice they made in favor of longivaty)
Coincidently my odometer turned 120,000 miles today on the way back from the canyons. no motor work except APE's (for insurance againist cam chain problems).
Took a couple pics today.

Well, I think Jeffers has proven chisandlisahan wrong. His theory and modeling concepts make perfect sense to me but real world doesn't always follow a model does it?
