Help:)

Hey guys, im new to forum, and my first ever firestorm. 2005 model 24000kms completly stock. Clean oil, filter, air filter.
Im coming from a zx10r. (Only ever had inline 4s efi.)

riding bike in any gear, any rpm if i twist the throttle fast this is what happens in order. Twist throttle, engine bogs, rpms raise, engine revs loud, then kicks in and goes. Very delayed.
please give opinions:) if im smooth on throttle it doesnt happen. Another example- i do the odd wheelie in safe enviroment (not new to doing wheelies) the bike will not even come up in first dropping clutch and giving it a shit ton. On a 125cc bike it would flip me if i done it.
Kind regards dave

Other experts will chime in - but I'd say carbs. Clean & balance em.

Welcome to the best moto ever made.

My anniversary is coming up on Monday - 19 yrs - bought new

I put a small amount of "mystery oil" in the fuel tank to attempt to lube the carb slides when it was running rough after winter lay-up. Not sure if it was rational but it seemed to help.

It almost sounds like your clutch is slipping. If you hear revs increasing and nothing happens right away, then 'kicks in' meaning it starts to accelerate but delayed I'd wonder how worn the clutch plates are.

Did the bike set for a long period without being run? Does it need full choke to start with ambient temperatures 22C and above? Does it idle well?

Darren was right. Was the clutch plates, spot on
