Heavy Front End

I took a spin around the block for the first time since my wreck and was a little disappointed. Now I'm not sure if it's that I haven't ridden my bike in about a month or so, I have no pipes (less weight in the rear), or that something might be wrong...really wrong...but...

It feels like I can't counter steer the bike worth a damn and whenever I try, the front end just feels heavy as hell! I was afraid to go into any serious corner in fright that I wouldn't be able to counter steer and lean over and in a stroke of bad luck...run off another cliff. I'm not sure if this means my forks aren't aligned properly, forks are bent, etc.
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

it could also be something as simple as low air pressure in one or both tires. Start by checking the simple stuff and work your way up to the more complicated (and expensive) stuff.

good luck

don't recall... did you pull them off, or do anything with the front end?

hahahahaha...I knew I forgot something...filled 'em up to 38 and took it for a late night...and incredibly loud...spin around the block. Handles like a dream!!!! Thanks mikstr...I'm a little slow sometimes. haha

awesome....

glad to hear it was something simple, and best of all, FREE...

haha...yeah. Damn it felt so good too!!! W/O the pipes...that thing is soooo damn light!!! It flings around corners sooo much easier. Too bad it gives me a headache after 5 minutes. :)
