Got my backup muffler stuff

So recently, some fine member (I will edit your name in later) found a place to buy aluminium tubing to fix and exhaust can.
Since I have carbon cans that are feather light but prone to breaking, I got some super secret backup tubes for my future. (I have learned to be prepared if I want to have no down time for the bike.) Here they are. They seem fine for my application. Will need a bit of machining to get them to fit over the end caps, then some polishing with steel wool for a brushed look. I think it was $28 cost plus $14 shipping. I will wait til my CF cans are down to like 6" but this is a great idea. |

Yeah, will be weird to become an alum muffler kind of guy after carbon. Will probly have to change who I hang out with and the clothes I wear, etc.
Hope it wont be too much and adjustment. |
Biggest one is, as I'm sure you know, burn factor. It's nice to be able to bump against a carbon pipe and not get a scar to show for it.

hey that was me! thanks for taking the innitiative to see how it works... i havent had any time to get it figured out yet but i hope it works for you. let us know how MUCH machining it takes to get it to work... i dont have access to tools to machine anything but its better than paying the prices D+D were asking....
