A girl 2up or riding a bike next to you?

So which do think is better? I rather enjoy how bikes feel better 1up, but you can't beat a chick holding on tight. Then again the ladies are pretty hot on their own bikes.

Depends on exactly where the girl is holding....

Birdoprey Jul 5, 2007 07:26 PM

I'll just say...I bought my wife a YZF600R, used, and put pipe hangers on the 'Hawk that have no buddy pegs.

Ubernova Jul 5, 2007 07:42 PM

fair enough.

I did the same thing. got the wife a gs500, and threw on the highmounts and race cowl. I did give her 1 ride before I did that. she hated it. she said she felt like she was way higher and it was hard to hold on. she prefered my last ride. a yamaha seca II. now I ride ...alone.

My wife rides a 600RR. She won't ride on the back with me anymore. It's not that I scared her once too many times, but she doesn't like that kind of lean angle that I generate at times. She also knows that I have more fun riding 1-up.

I agree, they look hot on there own bike, but I like them holding on as well...hmmm...

Better? Definitely 1 up if you're talking purely riding for fun (unless you're Randy Mamola!)That said, my wife loved riding pillion (back when she could) & never once complained... even when we t-boned that large dog @ 60mph a few years back.

Depends on the passenger honestly. I have had passengers who were a joy to ride with, and actually enhanced the experience. I have also had ones who fought my every move and I just drive my car from then with said passenger.

Riding next to me or in line, any day .... We ride very well togeather.. Once upon a time she rode on the back, but that was years and many bikes ago. After getting her a dirt bike,,,,,going back to riding pillion was not going to happen.

Hell Yeah!

I would much rather have her riding the bike in front of me so I can look at her ass!

Cruising someplace to hang out; 2up

Fun cruise with some spirited riding; her own bike

Precisely... I ride two up most of the time... it keeps me in check... I was at the Super Hawk Rally two up and still had a great time.

My wife likes to ride with me, but I love to take corners. She doesn't like the way I take corners. Next year she will get a bike of her own.

My wife loves to ride on the hawk with me but she also loves riding her ducati. so I love watching her ride but I also like her riding me..... I mean with me

timdske Jul 7, 2007 11:30 AM

My wife doesn't mind riding on the hawk when we are just cruising. She hates
twisties. So I bought her a '95 nighthawk cb750. If we need to go anywhere
2-up that has any real milage to it, we take her bike. Much more comfortable.

cb21983 Jul 7, 2007 03:29 PM

Most definitely riding two up with my girl on the back. Doesn't happen often but when she does wanna go out for a ride that is the only way I want it to be.

jamesvtr Jul 7, 2007 05:21 PM

i bought my old lady a zx600 and thats the way i like it cant do 3rd gear wheelies with her on the back:wheelie:

My wife rides well 2-up, but has always claimed to want to rider her own bike. So when I got the SHawk, I kept the old SecaII for her. She recently had her first lesson, and rode around the block 5-6 times. I have yet to ride next to her, but look forward to that day. While I enjoy riding the Hawk, and really like having the power available, I will consider taking the Seca for 2-up riding because of the comfort. It is certainly a catch 22. With the USGP coming up in a couple of weeks (and she won't be ready to ride in yet), I don't know which bike I will take. I will want the Hawk for its "Attitude", and to cruise Cannery Row, but the Seca is less stressful to ride 2-up, especially in the dirt parking lot. I need more bikes! A 2-up specific BMW or something may be in the distant future!

I love my wife on the back, she is all of 100 lbs. I hardly notice her there - till I have to stop quickly and my nuts get smashed into the tank...

Sgt Rock Jul 13, 2007 07:09 PM

My wife use to ride on the back until one day when I passed gas and there was nowhere for her to escape to. She was pissed for a good two days over that one
