I want the blue with flame background. And Pockets Pocket Pockets.

Better view of the bike?
https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sup...3f6ac99afb.jpg Some of the fine details (of the not so clean engine) can be muted, these are preliminaries. |
And please remember gents, this will be a one color (bike wise) design. I offered multiple colors once and won't go down that road again. I have these screen printed the old fashioned way and I need to keep it easy on myself.

Which is why we went the North America background route. Just thought I'd throw it out there since it is a Superhawk shirt. The flame job to me could be construed as a blow up? I showed it to a non VTR riding friend and that's the first comment I got. "What, did it just blow up?"
Maybe those of us that had a catastrophic engine failure would want one as a (painful) reminder. |
So John came up with this:

Where are the mccts? Seems like most from the forum would want it illustrated. Kidding. Looks awesome.

Bike in pic has the ol Trucker MCCT's for the record.

I like it too, works for me

Critical moment. The tires really wash out on this rendition

It's the negative print preview :-)
The printers would print what is black as white ink on dark cloth to get the original image. It isn't meant to be printed on a white background / t-shirt - think of it as more of a working image file. Like a negative image in photography or a mould when casting... It's done to avoid cock-ups like this well intentioned design of an Alan Partridge image for a t-shirt sent to the printers getting turned into a 'Shroud of Turin' Jesus negative when printed with light ink on a dark background. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sup...cc57fb3ec6.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sup...5e2399124c.jpg |

Like a negative image in photography or a mould when casting... If someone wants a white shirt, I'd have 'em made. Our southern contingent that lives in the extreme heat might prefer a white T over a black one. So it would look like the preview. I'm sure John can tweak the final edition to get more tire. |
Now if the odd looking negative image had been produced with the dark shirt in mind
https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sup...64ab221b1a.png https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sup...70af1dc5d4.png Then the final shirt would have turned out okay but not as mysteriously funny! |
Right - for folk luckily living in sunny climes - here's the version for a white t-shirt option

Cool, I like both!
So I reached out to my printer today. I'll post here till I create an order thread. We still need a small front logo. Since we've already had the Honda wings multiple times, they are out. |

Or place the word Honda on the front

I really liked the last one we had, wasn't intrusive and looked like a signature, it was just perfect.

This would work for me. I dig it! 👍🏻 Thought of a random twist to throw in the mix too btw. Just figured I’d put it out there, definitely not trying to over complicate though... Seeing as colors are always something in the discussion, (ie-what color should the bike be in the image) and we managed to maybe come up with a collective agreement to the designs above...what would it be to consider different actual t-shirt colors with the general images printed on them? A Red shirt for Red, Yellow shirt for Yellow, Blue for Blue, etc??? |

From recent experience doing Firestorm t-shirts despite offering the whole range of VTR colours to UK, Ireland , NZ & Aus, the most popular colour were black and mid charcoal grey! Only a few about 15% took up the matching colour options.

Yeah, no. It would do just that. I did it once before and it was not fun on my part(I vowed to not go there again). It's going to be even more challenging in the fact that I will have guys ordering from multiple Facebook groups as well as this forum. This should be fun... :p So, do y'all want the V2 90 degree DOHC or this one? https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sup...95d1e81824.jpg And I like the DOHC image personally...otherwise one might interpret it as Super Hawk version 2 maybe? |
"And I like the DOHC image personally...otherwise one might interpret it as Super Hawk version 2 maybe?"
The 'V2 90° DOHC' graphic is on the tail of 97-01 Firestorms :-) https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sup...449c4d90c1.jpg And in some ways the v2 is accidently if appropriately true as wasn't there a previous version of the Honda Superhawk - CB77 https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sup...0f0b62007f.jpg |
Lol, that is true...I had thought of that just after I hit the Submit button haha... |
