Fuel Injected Superhawks?
I did some searching, but didn't come up with anything concrete. Are all of the Superhawks carburated, or did Honda put fuel injection in the later models?

All carbureted. Besides, while FI could result in slightly better fuel economy and lower emissions, my DJ kit equiped VTR's throttle response is second-to-none (and better than any FI bike I have tried to date to be honest). A well-tuned carb set-up is pretty hard to beat for smoothness of response IMO.

+2 on a schweeet jetted carb'ed bike.
One negative attribute of FI: it's digital so it's either on or off. If off, you're screwed but a carb'ed motor running poorly (digital reads this as off) will still get you home. BTDT in both camps. |

Well that's something new I learned today. I always assumed that FI was better in every aspect performance wise. Now I'm even more excited to ride this potential sale Superhawk. On the flipside, if the deal doesn't go through, I'll definitely re-jet the carbs on my VFR for that crisper than crisp throttle response!

F/I is more precise at high rpm's. Fortunately the VTR is only 9.4k rpm bike.
