front end swap

looking to put a new front end on my 98 superhawk, i was thinking id put 1000rr forks and 929rr triple tree. anyone have thoughts comments and maybe a place to get them for a decent price i found the triple tree for 195 so i think i might go ahead and get it. thanks for the help

hey guys still looking for some input i found someone with rc51 forks just want to know what every one thinks

Well the 1000RR forks would arguably be better, especially if they are the newer radial mount caliper type. However the RC51 forks would probably be easier to swap, and I doubt most people will be able to tell the difference.

No matter what USD front end you go with, you will probably need a new front wheel too. Not to mention brakes and clip ons.

As for a triple tree, CBR954 or CBR929 are your best bet, the 1000RR triples will work too, but they are drilled for the honda electronic steering damper, so they are not pretty.
