First ride..

Went on my first real ride today. Rode to Llano Tx for some awesome BBQ then back home. All in all right around 200 miles. I absolutly love this bike. I got about 600 miles on it. Now I need some high mounts and to clean up that big ass end.

Where are you riding out of 05xman? We ride out of NW Austin. Went up to Lampasas to meet friends for breakfast this morning. Launch was at 0830. Nearly froze our asses off in full leathers. It was better as the day went on. My son runs a CBR and I have a 98 Superhawk. I've got about a five hundred miles on my hawk now and the kid has about a thousand. Both of us bought our bikes used in September. Having a blast!

I live in Round Rock, We went down 1431 to Park road 4 (an awesome road) to 29 to llano. I got my hawk about two weeks ago and after one bike night at Antonioe's my wife wanted on to. So we found a Ducati monster 620 for her. Now we are both riding.

That's great! Maybe you can come by my nursery some time and introduce yourselves. Great Hills Garden Center at McNeil & Los Indios. Ride Safe!

How many stops for gas did you make?

If you do get the high-mounts, also buy some aftermarket heat shields. You'll be melting the heel of your shoes to the pipe if you don't.

I'm getting the SH prepped for my 4 dayer out to Big Bend next week. Riding weather has finally arrived to TX.

I've got a client from Austin that has a lake house up near Kingsland. My kid was up there two weeks ago laying lawn chems and says the roads are good. Thanks for the tip on Park Rd 4. I think we'll head up that way this weekend so I can look at his new house and get some BBQ in Llano. I wish I could get your gas mileage. My light goes on right at 100 miles and 20 miles later I'm out. Last weekend drained her dry 3.7 miles shy of Seward Junction. Luckily I have clients in the area so we were only down about 15 minutes but it's the first time I've run out. I'll pay better attention to the odo and the light this time!

I have 6 bars on my gas guage, right around 100 - 110 miles the last one starts to blink, meaning i am on reserve. But I think my tank is 4.25 gallons?
