Finally - New Angled Valve Stems & Shoes

1 Attachment(s)
Since I'm not riding as aggressive as I used to (due to cage accident 18 months ago) and I needed new tires - I ordered new angled valve stems as well.

After I saw angled stems on my buddies race bike & I changed my stem on the air compressor hose (which makes it almost impossible to add air to my tires now).

I asked my friend/mechanic (stuff I don't want to handle) what stems I should use, he sent me this link.

They're more $ than others I've seen, but the VTR is worth it & I fell into some recent extra cash.

These will make life a hell of alot easier when checking tire pressure / adding air.

Tires

I finally ordered Mich. PR2s - I think these maybe the 2nd set of ST tires I put on the VTR, the 1st set were Avons.

They cost $275. shipped from Jake Wilson - U can't beat that.

Shipped everything to my friends casa, so hopefully by May Day, while those commie bastids are marching down Red Square, I'll have new tires on. Oops dating my self USSR is dead & gone...

$13 a piece is not bad :nana: or maybe Im just justifying since I bought 2 sets.

I've seen chinese Ebay copies cheaper,, but decided these from Kurvey Girl have a known track record for fit , finish and reliability.

OOOooooh I thought that was per. I don't remember how much I got mine for to be honest, but I would have remembered if they were 25 bucks a piece.

My GL1800 Goldwing has OEM angled valve stems.
Honda part #42753-MN5-004.
I think there $10 bucks a pop IIRC...

OK finally made it to my buddies place (he works on motos out of his garage as a side business - perfect set up)

New angled stems & new shoes - Michelin PR2s. Saved $100. by ordering myself & having him mount & balance. :)

Hopefully will put more miles on the Hawk this year
