Finally got to ride it
So I recently installed a JDM rear shock rebuild, and a fork Brace, (Thanks Eric and Jamie) and finally took it out yesterday. It's been either raining or very overcast/moist here in the Sacramento area. The shock feels good. The forks feel way less..."twisty"...(is that a word?) Anyway, I haven't taken it into the hills for a real test but the bike feels more planted. The shock rebounds, way different from stock. I can't wait to get up to salmon falls road and hwy 49 to see how much more "sure footed "it really is. Now to change out the springs and valves in the front... I have a feeling, I'm eventually going to want a usd front end.

I guess I'll have to let you try mine out sometime..... ;)

I looked at my cold bikes in garage this morning as I left for work. does that count? :(

It counts for...yearning.

i just finished putting in sonic springs. she doesn't sag near as much in the front.. springs were a lot beefier looking and an inch longer. the original spacers were 4" and with the new springs set to 1/2" pre-load at 1/3 adjustment the spacers came to 2 5/8 ish. this would give me adj. lighter and a good bit heavier.. the sag is more in the front than rear with out a rider and real close with.
hope to get to ride soon...... we should not have snow but we do. |
