Devil High Mounts?

Iv been looking through some different Exhaust options for my Superhawk lately (currently running Baffelectomized Stockers) and iv decided I want one of the closer fitting (tigher to the tail) highmounts like the Devil and Mig exhausts.

Does anyone know where to get the Devil High Mount system these days? i can't find anything really on google or Ebay, I know Mig went out of buisness a while back and that Devil is pretty much the closest thing.

anyone know where to look for these or any recommendations on something simular?

EDIT: I found the Devils on www.exoticsportbike.com and on http://www.devil-exhaust.us , are these the only places that carry it? took me a while to get the searchwords right for this to come up, all i was getting originaly were the youtube videos and forum reviews.

Devil's website is the only please order their exhaust systems. I've red 1 or 2 posts that ordering online dependable. Unfortunitly the carbon exhaust are $845.32 and the titanium is $877.43. Is it me, or are these exhaust system a bit expensive?

I think you meant to say

"Devil's website is the only place to order their exhaust systems. I've read 1 or 2 posts that ordering online is dependable. Unfortunately the carbon exhaust is $845.32 and the titanium is $877.43. Is it me, or are these exhaust systems a bit expensive?"

If thats what you meant, yeah i think them and the Exoticsportbikes site are the only options for ordering them.

I got mine from exoticsportbike but that was a year and a half ago. Even then it took over two months to get them.

Hahaha! Sounds like the only reason you got yours before they went BU is they didn't want to see your helo in their RVM.

The Devil exhausts were certainly priced aggressively and didn't seem much different to me than the D&D's.

I went with Jardine on my last build and if I tear her down this winter it's probly gonna be D&D.

I just like the style of the Devil's and how they fit closer to the tail

Im no spelling/grammar nazy and im not trying to be a jerk, but Its very hard to understand what you mean when you leave out words and replace words like "place" with "please", In fact I was wondering why you were asking me to "please order their exhaust systems" when you meant "place to order their exhaust systems"

Not trying to be a jerk, but reading that confused the crap out of me.

What makes you want to switch from the Jardines to the D&D if you don't mind me asking?

I like the Jardine but the Mig and Devil setups are alot more visualy appealing to me. If I had to go with anything else besides the closer-to-the-tail fitting Mig/Devil pipes id probably pick Jardine.

I picked up a set of Migs from a SH forum member last month. You just got to be ready to move when the moment appears. I'll post up some pictures when I'm done putting the head back on from the CCT failure.

Sounds like thats the way to go, iv been watching Ebay and the forum for any good deals, Looks like its a tossup between CF Jardine Highmounts or CF Devil Highmounts. Problem with the Devils is cost, Problem with the Jardines is that im only finding the aluminum available most places.....

ill find something if i keep looking im sure though.

Anyone know a good place to pick up the Carbon Jardine highmounts? indysuperbike.com wants 942 W/free shipping and Solomotorparts.com wants 807 w/free shipping....I had thought they were cheaper than the Devils (845 w/free shipping) but its looking like the price isnt all that different.

Don't mind at all. The Jardine Hi mounts are in a good position on the Hawk and I don't object to their looks. They're quite good actually.

I have been chasing a rich mixture situation for a few months. Installing a new K&N did wonders and now that it's cooler in Central Texas that helps even more.

My Jardines are street baffle and the D&D's make no apologies. 'Sides they're made just up the street. Ft. Worth!

I have a D&D on the VFR that I bought here on the forum as a pair for the Superhawk. Never happened. The sound of the VFR with the D&D is incredible. Ask the bitches on their cell phones when I'm at the light next to them.

lol

I wish D&D sold a highmount, id probably consider it.....for some reason i really want a carbon highmount....call me picky....I also wonder if the D&D's are actual carbon fiber or just a Carbon wrap over a metal pipe.

Right now its just a tossup between Jardine and Devil since the price is so simular....im thinking Devil.

If you really wanted high mount D&D's I'm fairly certain the cans will work with Jardine midpipes (the chrome ones that go with the round black powdercoat Jardine cans.) I remember test fitting ones I had awhile back and they slipped on perfect. And I'm pretty sure D&D carbon cans are carbon-I've seen enough of them crack and burn through on older bikes from not being repacked on time or at all. Actually I think it's more desireable to have a thin metal insert inside the carbon to block some of the heat, like LeoVince says they have, to prevent damaging the carbon.

First photo is what I had before, Yoshimura RS-3(no badge).
Next is a set of Carbon High-Mount Migs.
I had to alter my turn signals from the stock holes to the bottom of the tag. I used some brackets I had laying around the shop.
It's a little louder than the Yosh.

There's no gettin' nuthin' by you any of the time. Yes, I will sell the Jardine cans and simply replace with the D&D's - the bands may be different but everything else should fit right up.

I also agree that I wouldn't buy carbon fiber on a bet for a Superhawk. My PO blew out a set of TBR cf on my Superhawk before I bought it from him.

I think there's just too much vibe for cf on our bikes. He said the rivets ate right through the outer shell and it just blew apart while he was going down the highway. Probly not going back for repairable parts. Not with cf.

I'm really close to having the mixture just right for my climate and my style of riding. Am I getting forty - no! But my RLOD came on the last time at 77 miles.

I changed to a K&N and I'm now at 102.5 - if I open up the exhaust a little and get another 10 - I'm happy.
