Cool looking VFR750

I know it's not a Superhawk but I want one. VFR would definitely make one bad ass street fighter.

I would slip right off the seat...

lol. It does have a nice, simple look to it though. Negatives for me are definitely the quad tail pipes and the cheap looking headlights.

They're not the best looking pieces but I prefer the oval lights stacked like that over dual or single headlight setup or the generic looking front cluster/headlight units sold throughout. The quad pipes look simple but I would have just routed them all through the bottom. The seat does look a little weird, I would have done a back stock of some sort, personally a retro ducatti style tail would look sweet.

Pretty cool, but looks unfinished without a tail section...

Moehawk005 Apr 29, 2010 02:57 PM

the tail defenatly need to be there.

...and all for only $7,000.

Yeah. About the going price for an '08 CBR1000RR with a half or a third the miles. He's dreamin'.

I don't think my ass would even fit on that seat.
:D

with all the work he put in it, and the fact that it is a unique work of creative artistry, the price seems reasonable. I don't care for it personally but it sure looks like it might be pretty light and if it had a little better seat, it would be interesting to see how it ran and handled/

^^ so if i spend a thousand hours polishing a turn i can ask for its weight in gold?

hes taken a crashed bike, threw some parts at it, made it minimalistic...put the cheapest ebay fog lights on the front and called it a day? its weird cuz then he springs for USD front end, penkse shock in the back and that nifty dash....

totally not worth 7Grand

BlackhawksFan May 2, 2010 06:41 PM

I was liking it until I got to the picture with the head lights. Not worth 7K, but would be fun with one that was wrecked.

no, not worth it to you or i and probably not to most, but if you were into minimalist. unique, custom, etc., liked this bike, and couldn't or wouldn't do it yourself, it would be well worth it, esp if he did everything he described.

AngryOlaf May 2, 2010 06:45 PM

This could be kinda cool with a bit more seat and a small cafe racer style tail, just about any other headlight setup in existence, and several $k knocked off the price.

oahu hawk May 2, 2010 07:47 PM

a lot cheaper than one of these, which he may have been trying to emulate...

koso gauge cluster on a 95, interesting. anyone think this could be manipulated onto an early vtr?

98ILVTR May 2, 2010 08:28 PM

Needs the fender; it just looks unfinished..

Possibly looking at a 97 VFR750 today, it's been laid down and it's cheap. Hopefully it's not in too bad of a shape.
