Chickens in Virginia, Maryland, DC?

I'm pretty lonely over here in Fairfax county, VA. There's a lot of riders, but nobody appreciates the mountains and the twisties. I've got a small group that I ride with here, but everyone else wants to do 160 on the interstate. Bloody squids. We call them 'beltway ballers'. Anyways, I live in Centreville, which is in the middle of Fairfax County. Anybody in the area want to get together?

I'm in Germantown, MD. I think you are the closest person I've noticed on this forum.

My bike's in pieces right now, but I'd be interested in rides in the Spring.

I'd be interested but i'm not much of a long distance winter rider. Virginia is a good 1.5-2 hours away from me. In the spring I'll make the ride though

Im in northern KY. Have rode in VA many times. You all got some amazing roads out there. Ive only ridin in the south west part though...

I used to live in Rockville, and I would travel to Rt 211 and up into West Virginia on Rt 11. There got to be too many accidents up in the twisties, too many of the speed demons crossing over the lines and getting hit.

I am not the speed demon here, just like to relax and enjoy as I ride. I will be back there in the spring, have family down there and wouldn't mind a weekend trip.

Hey superchickencornermonster - I'm fairly new to VA so had to look up where Centreville is - I'm down here at Smith Mountain Lake between Roanoke and Lynchburg, so quite a ways away. I just got my Superhawk a few weeks ago and rode it for the first time this weekend - then the weather turned to crap again. My first sport bike - love it! Any riders down in this area?
Tom

There are a few down in Richmond I know of. One of them is a member here, he's Jay956? I think. The other one is Steve. Steve is awesome.

I live in Baltimore, MD and I wouldn't mind getting some people together to ride

Whats up! My carbs are cleaned and my grips are now heated, so i'm ready to ride; but screw these sandy ass roads. Spring wont come soon enough. Heading down to Jennings in February for some warm weather (hopefully) and knee dragging fun.

BTW Steve = L8RGYZ

I'm 50 miles south of Virginia and ride the southern Virginia mountains a lot. Smith mountain Lake area has some great roads, and Hwy 40 west of Rocky Mount is very technical and a great run.
I would be interested in something this spring in Va. I have family in the Shenandoah and have never ridden a bike up there.

I'm in Durham, NC. I ride up to lower Va. alot. Kerr Lake, Danville, Martinsville, Sturat, Tuggles Gap, BRP, Fancy Gap, Galax areas. Do go to Shenadora Valley a couple times a year. Great roads up there.

I'm at northeastern corner of MD but def have a ride to Skyline Dr. on my to do list. Would be cool to meet some hawk riders who enjoy a ride without riding like a motoGP rider. I like to stay in one piece and so does my bike.

I live in Mongtomery County, MD but honestly scared of the major highways in DC/VA. I-495, 66, and 95 seem like nightmares to me.

I had planned on maybe grabbing a trailer, so I could pull the bike to a drop off point somewhere and that would allow me to ride the Shenendoah area, etc.

I live in Montgomery County also, in Germantown, MD. I've never seen another Superhawk on the road around here.

I commute when it's not 30 degrees out. The roads are nightmares, but I think it's worse in a car.

I live in Germantown, MD. I gave a hawk rider on 270 a thumbs up back in September probably. We were probably both riding to work.

I occasionally see other hawks. I've been in the car with my 62 year old boss on multiple occasions who is amazed every time I identify a Superhawk before I see it by the way it sounds.

I'm not good at planning rides these days. If I wake up motivated to get something done that I've been putting off, it doesn't matter how nice it is outside, I keep on rolling and get it done.

I live in Winchester, VA. Not to far away. Got my Superhawk a few weeks ago. Love it!! Would be fun to ride with some fellow hawkers. Weather is getting better everyday:)
