Charging question

My battery tender came with leads that you can leave permanently attached to the battery, allowing you to just plug in the charger to the wires when you want to charge it. However, the R/R issue I had made me think that the electrical system is pretty finicky, so I have been pulling the battery cables off and just charging it while it's disconnected. Am I being too cautious? Does anyone else just plug it into the permanent leads?

I have my bike charger leads permanently connected all the time and have never experienced any problems, or have never heard of anyone else having any trouble either.

A motorcycle battery charger/monitor only produces a very small amount of charge anyway if the battery is kept up and in good condition.

Same here, I leave the leads on both of my bikes and never had an issue.
