Got this CB77 Superhawk, that was my late uncle's and I'm not sure what year it is
How can I find that out?
Is there a range for the VIN which could indicate production year?
Mine is.. CB77-10429xx

I would take that VIN # to a local Honda dealer, the older the better, and see if they can find you the specific year.
Generally, if memory serves me correctly, these were produced from the early to mid '60s.

Also try contacting David Silvers in the UK as he collects container loads of old US bikes and ships them back to the UK to sell / put in his Honda Museum. He carries parts as well.

I am pretty sure it is between '66 and '67 but the vin's are on the borderline....

 

I'm sure you figured out by now, this page is for the 1998-2005 Honda VTR1000F Superhawk, not the 305 Superhawk.
But in any case
