Can't remove bar end anchors

Noob question here. I put on a superbike yoke and a flat bar, love the riding position, but I can't figure out how to get the anchors out of the stock bars. I have the bar ends off, but not where try screw into. Will I need them to help with vibrations, or will they primarily serve for protection when nocked over. The new bars are Renthals 7/8th flat bars. Thanks in advance for the help.

Erno, thanks for the thread, the only one I could find while searching was the recent one about removing the ends themselves. IYO if I run without bar-ends will the vibration be worse than a 80's KLR600 single cyl thumper? Trying to figure out if its worth the effort to switch the anchors over.

If you pump the new bars full of silicone sealant (for sealing bathrooms and showers) that adds sufficient weight and "dumbs down" the vibes.

I have apex clipon's had to cut down the hawks internal weights to suit.
Haven't noticed any change
But the silicon idea sounds good ..never would of thought of that one

My bar end weights wouldn't budge until I put the bars in a big ziplock bag and poured in a bottle of Isopropyl rubbing alcohol from the CVS store and let them soak. Then they slid out effortlessly when the spring tabs were depressed. Used the alcohol to wet them and ease the install into the new Heli bars as well.
