Cant fool mother nature

So this is what I get for complaining about the pre thanksgiving 36* rain. Today I was greeted with 32* pouring rain! It snowed yesterday at the same temp but all ice cold rain today.

So I wore my gore tex snow pants instead of just rain pants. Really wasnt too bad but you sure hate to see steel plates diagonal to the road in these conditions.

Tomorrow is 3" of snow so maybe not gonna ride it.

That's nuts you ride in this weather. I quit riding at 50*, but I'm ill equipped for cold and wet.

We had 8" of snow yesterday, had a good time making deliveries.

Yeah, I really like to ride. Not willing to do without it.

What heated gear do you wear? I'm sure that helps. I don't think my XT350's charging system could handle any high draw heating clothing...and it has no wind protection.

Motorcross hand guards work wonders. I'd use them before heated grips in most cases. I speak from experience... we had a freezing warning last night (gasp!). If it were raining as well the whole city would probably shut down.

Not a fan of heated gear. Its only useful for long trips. My commute used to be 70 miles each way and didnt use it then either.

Arctic cat hand guards are really the only way to not freeze fingers. Motocross ones are the right idea but just too small below 30*. I use these in red New Arctic Cat Pearl Cat Green Hand Guards Part 3639 736 Free Shipping | eBay

Then just a fieldsheer aquatour jacket or tourmaster epic jacket. Both waterproof and super warm. (core temp is key)

For you legs, cuddle duds are the best "double skins" I have found. You can ride to work, wear them indoors all day then home in 25*.

Also have a ton of gloves for all occasions. The best are fieldsheer sub zero or something. I only wear them under 27*.

Oh and I built this thing for my helmet. You dont want to winter ride without one. Fleece lined.
