Breather tube routing
I'm trying to get my hawk put back together, but I'm having trouble remembering where the fuel tank breather tube ends up. It comes from the tank and goes down on the right side of the engine where there's a tee fitting. One leg of the tee goes over by the other drain tubes, but I can't remember where the other one goes. I can't find anything in the manual that shows it either. There's no evidence that it was connected to anything, so does it just sit up under the airbox somewhere?

Re: Breather tube routing
Thanks, I'll take a look at that. I must have missed that page.

After doing some mods, my breather tube was routing straight from the left side to be housed at the front, with the rest of the tubes, under the lower chin cowling.
I now have it just fall directly beside the rear shock. I was worried that the rain/wet riding was causing water to clug the breather tube temporarily (not cofirmed, just thought.) |
Is it a california bike? the tee fitting may have gone to the evap canister. I don't have a tee.

Re: Breather tube routing
Nope, not a Cali bike.

Re: Breather tube routing
Since I couldn't see any point to having the tee in there, I did what any good superhawker would do; I yanked it out. The tube now runs down with the drain/overflow tubes.
