Never ran into this on mine yet, but would like to know what makes you think you have a blocked vent? Does your fuel tank have a vacuum on it after running the engine?

gets worse as you get older, too.

I don't know about that. I'm in my mid fifties. All the vents, pipes etc. still work A-OK. True, it's gotten more difficult to find 18-29 year old function testers, but when I do I pass with flying colors.

Yeah well, when you start a thread with "Hi, I have a blocked vent pipe", you're asking for it!

I don't know how to help. I looked in the service manual. Shows the breather tube and drain tube at the bottom. I know there's a tube goes up to the filler neck. Which one is that? And where does the other one go? The manual doesn't show any tank internals at all.

Hey Kev, now that everybody's done goofin' if you want to try again say what the symptoms are, why you think it's the breather, what you've tried etc. and give us a bit more info.

Just_Nick 09-10-2009 07:46 PM

Wait, what?

jbaxx 09-10-2009 07:55 PM

I have a slightly scratched-up tank you could have but you gotta come to California to pick it up. Sorry.

nath981 09-10-2009 08:16 PM

no word from evil kev. Must be got his pipe cleaned?:winner:

Or He's out cruising for 18-29 year olds...

drew_c14 09-11-2009 04:54 AM

I think we upset him, he's been dealing with I think is PVLIR for a while now. Or his other hoses are hooked up wrong maybe.
