Bike stand
 

Has anyone put rollers on their bike stand to make it able to roll around the garage???

Haven't but I did think of it. I cant figure exactly how this would be helpful. MAYBE at the racetrack where I have 3 racebikes & they wear tire warmers. Not in a home garage, it would add work to the equation.

I was thinking for in the garage when both cars where in there and didn't have a lot of room and needed to get the bike up against the wall closer or move it easier side to side???

Yeah but the time to put it on stands and take it off negates the time you save shoving it around (unless its for winter storage)

I keep 3 bikes in my garage and can get them into impossible places using this method:

stand facing the front of the bike, reach forward and grab the hand grips & brake lever, stand the bike up and push it backwards (leave stand down always). If you can walk into the spot you can push it like this.

Then lean it to a wall if needed using garage foam mats.

To get it out of the spot you can just get on it and push it out.

ok maybe i just get a front stand and call it good then. Would this one work on our bikes?

You need to use a rear stand along with a front. You can use a rear with no front, but not the other way.

O yes i have a rear already was looking at getting a front to go with it

Dont get that front stand. Get the one that lifts from the steering stem. Those are very unstable (think of how low it holds the forks that are hinged anyway).

I have both and the bike drops off the leg stand like 10 times more than the stem ones (which pretty much never do)

Plus with the steering stem type you can remove the forks if needed....

What they said, I had my bike on stands, the front was like you posted, and when walking by my jacket caught the mirror and the front end fell of the stand and down she went. I have leaned against my bike with a stem stand and it barely moves, no way I will trust a fork stand again.
