Better late than never (pics with lower)....

As promised soooooooo many moons ago (really sorry for the delay but I was working on my procrastination skills...:)), I have finally posted pics of my VTR with the custom painted Sharkskinz lower that I had purchased on eBay in the gallery. I hope you folks enjoy it :)

for some odd reason i like the red contrast

thanks :)

I didn't want to turn it into a Christmas tree but did want some accents. I considered red and black; tried the red first and liked it :)

I am quite happy with the way it looks, but even moreso with the way it runs :) WEll, it is hibernating at the moment but look out Spring.... :)

I really like the blue that you've used. I noticed you were using .80 front springs. What weight are those spec'd for? I was on TT the other night and I think for my weight their chart showed that I should use .85 for my 165#. Then I saw another member here that had some .90 for sale and he said they were good for 220#. Are you guys using the chart as dead on or shading to one side or the other? Good job on the bike! Now you're going to have to do a good job on your patience!

The blue is the OEM colour but as mine is a Canadian model (a Firestorm), I believe it is a colour that was not offered in the US. In regards to the fork springs, I weigh about the same as you but opted for the .80's as I use the bike for sport-touring (long rides) and so I put a bit more importance on the comfort end of the equation. If you ride in a more spirited fashion the .90's would work well I think.

I weigh 225 and use 1.05 Ohlins springs. I have no problems with comfort and still think the front end is quite plush. I am running 10wt oil (unkown brand) and Gold Valves. Stock rebound stack with machined needles. This will all change this winter.
