I use a black and decker batt tender. works well, and I havent had a prob. I keep my batt inside in the winter (no real garage) reguardless. the hawk does NOT like the cold. it reminds me of a senior citizen when trying to turn it over in 30 degree temps haha

Battery Tender Junior or the Yuasa Automatic batter charger are a good choice.

Under $39 at most places.

Keeping in mind these are NOT battery CHARGERS. Just tenders to mitigate Parasitic Battery Drain or top off a battery that was used but not fully recharged during riding prior to stopping the bike. (like say a hard start in the winter, short trip and back.. likely used more stored energy in the starting process twice then the combined short trips replaced)

you can usually get one for round about $30-$50 at any auto zone or advanced auto parts also. but I think I might have to get one from harbor freight, that is super cheap especially for a smart charger.

I actually stopped at walmart and checked out what they had and wound up picking up a Schumacher Electric Maintainer for 20 dollars, does the same thing as the Tender Jr. Has the quick disconnect plug too.

I bought a Battery Minder when my Tender died a few years back. It's supposed to de-sulfate and charge. Hit the link below and then "motorcycle".

I use the batterytender waterproof model.....i think its the 800 model.....I would be weary of the harbor freight brand ones. a friend bought a couple of those and they destroyed the batteries on his jetski and atv.
