Bar end mirrors: anyone use them?

Hi folks, as the thread title indicates, just wondering if anyone has tried a set on their VTR (or other bike for that matter, preferably with clips-ons too)? These are the specific ones I am considering buying:

I have tried a similar pair through LP and CRG. While it cleaned up the lines of the Superhawk, it was also hard to readjust to look so much further down to check behind me.

In the end, I went with R6 mirrors.

I've used them on several bikes but not the VTR. I don't find them hard to use, but you'll be surprised how often the increase in handlebar width becomes an issue.

One thing: they do make it hard to see your elbows. ;-)

damn, and I have grown fond of seeing my elbows, lol

I am currently using GenMar spacers so my mirrors are actually useful, I am looking at the change mostly from an aesthetic point of view.

Thanks for the replies gents :)

At a glance, the LP and CRG look very similar. But when the bike is parked, and someone can take a look at your bike up close, the CRGs look a lot more "bling" than the LP ones.

I see....they rate higher on the "blinginess" scale... I am also concerned about durablity... if image was the only consideration I'd likely be riding a Harley (for there truly can be no other reason, lol)

I haven't ever tested their crash-worthiness, but I imagine it's not good. I have tapped a few mirrors with the bar-end types...they just fold in and you continue on, hopefully without the car driver knowing what happened. ;)

hey there fellow Canuck :) I will gladly post pics but as my Storm is currently hibernating in heated storage at my dealer's, it will be a while...
