Bad luck or bad part?
 

Bought a starter clutch off ebay (off 02 model sh) for 55 bucks. Got my gasket in on friday and did the swap on saturday, Bike does the same thing. So im either looking at a bad part or another problem totally not sure which! The bike just makes a whinning sound like the starter clutch isn't turning or something. I order'd a new wiring harness due to the previous problem (melted wires) and i'm hoping this will help but is anyone familiar with the sound i have described or know what it is?

This is the 5th week in a row that i have not been able to ride!

Can you bump-start the bike? Battery Good? R/R good?

Yea the bike will bump start, runs and drives perfect! New battery also. R/R should be good, I'm thinkin the starter is bad or an electrical issue, since the wiring looks like a birds nest. New harness on its was along with computer and ignition control box. Somethings gotta give!
