Any Chinese Bodywork Available for VTRs
 

Does anyone know if some of the "cheap Chinese" bodywork you can find for F4i, VFR, etc is available for our VTRs? If yes, where can I find it (I did not see any at eBay)?

the closest thing I have ever seen is people trying to pass of RC51 bodywork for VTR or saying that the RC stuff will fit a VTR. It can be made to fit but takes some work.

Been awhile, but there used to be an eBay lister that regularly had imported replica body work for sale. Pricing was only OK, but the shipping cost pushed the pricing over the top. What about someone like Sharkskin or Hot Bodies? Doesn't hurt to buy domestically these days.

depending where you are you can look into squidskinz aswell, hes the cheapest youll find in canada, in the states sharkskins is good.

anyone have a thought of how this might fit? I'd love to make it work for track days to spare wear and tear on stock parts.

I've had a set before and know a few guys with different models of bike with those and generally the chinese kits are junk. The finish is terrible. Panels don't fit right, the edges are rough and jagged, and the plastic they use is really brittle. The only thing good about them is the graphics, which are just stickers that have been cleared over. You'd be much better off getting some sharkskins. If you really want the fancy pants graphics just get a hold of a someone who makes vinyl designs. In the end it'll probably cost as much as the chinese charge but you'll have much better results.

That's been done about a dozen or so times... Do a search, and you will find several threads with lots of info...
