Hello to all,

After seeing the recent posts about people who don't post I figured I had better introduce myself. I purchased a 2002 Superhawk for Christmas (and according to my wife "your birthday, Easter, Father's day, next Christmas" ect.).

I found this forum looking for info before I bought it and you guy's sold me on it. Seeing as how my '77 CB750 project has stalled out for the last couple of years and finding a good deal I bought it with out really getting to ride it.

I live in Northern Minnesota and this year it has been snowing since early Dec. and just won't quit. I can't wait until spring to get out and ride!

welcome... so are you still going to fix the cb. I am also in the middle of finishing my dads cb750c. Old bikes are cool too.

Welcome aboard.

I have just about all the parts I need plus a few, just need to get back at it. The whole project began when I blew the head gasket which required dropping the motor. I figured I went that far I should go all the way and make a cafe' out of it.

Welcome and congratulations! Like the project bike, too bad you will never work on it again since you'll be out riding the VTR all the time. Hope your wife doesn't like you much either cause she won't see you much when the weather gets nicer.

Welcome. I know what you mean about the snow. It's all good though. The down time in the winter gives you a greater appreciation for when the riding season starts up again in the spring. Luckily for me a few indoor motocross tracks have opened over the last few years which holds me over until the snow subsides.

Welcome and congrats, it's a good looking hawk. I know what your talking about with the snow, I haven't ridden since November. I guess it gives me time to spend lots getting her looking good and running good for spring.

Welcome. You'll love the bike. I fired mine up for the first time in 2 months today since it finally went above 30 degrees and couldn't believe how torquey and fun it is. I am switching bikes in 2 weeks, but after today I'm wondering why--(actually I know why..suspension, steering damper, extra 50 HP, and FI). I never dialed my bike in how I wanted suspension-wise, and that can make or break a bike.

Welcome. I too am anxiously awating spring.
