another new guy
 

hi everone,i just bought a 99 superhawk last week.i`ve been riding about 40 yrs and have had alot of different bikes.this is my first superhawk and i like it so far. i got to change out the worn out chain and sprockets and the mirrors have got to go.i sold my v strom 1000 a few months ago and i think this might fill the gap just fine.its had 2 owners and is bone stock.

Looks like the rear fender has been trimmed. That's a plus in appearance.

it`s a led with the clear lens.the rear fender has been trimmed.it could use some different turn signals with the trimmed fender.

compare how you like the hawk vs. the DL

i haven`t rode the hawk enough yet to make to answer that yet.i`m replacing the chain, sprockets and tires this weelend.they seem to be close on power.even though they have totally different riding positions i wouldn`t bet one against the other.the v strom with good tires can suprise you in the corners.i think the v strom is a better touring bike.personally i like big v twin sport bikes, you don`t have to wring the pee out of them to go fast.
