Almost turfed it at 75 today
Slight drizzle at the time, had been raining on/off all day.
On I40 West at the I75 split near Knoxville. Curving left, bike ever so gently drifts right towards the solid white stripe. Gentle with bars left, no dice. Hit the stripe, rear swings right, towards the outside of the curve. Bike leaning way over to the left. Stabbed with left leg, got the bike closer to verticle, straightend up the bars and saved it. Never let off the throttle. Must have been oil on the pavement because traction overall was fine. Thank God! Been riding since I've been 8 with lots of dirt. Surprising how little effort the stab took and how smooth the correction felt compared to something like this offroad. |
I'm glad you and the bike are OK. Well done!
