Air cleaner housing mounting screw size

What size are the screws that hold the air cleaner housing unit to the carbs? They're the screws that connect straight to the carbs under the air funnels. I believe there are 8 total, 4 around each carb. I couldn't find what size they are in the manual nor in any of the threads on here. It's a smaller screw with a small washer. Was needing these as they are non-existent at the moment.

Try using a JIS screwdriver as Phillips can damage them.

After I buggered up one I replaced mine with stainless hex heads versions with a dab of blue loctite to stop 'em getting sucked into the carb ;-).

A thread gauge and ruler could be a useful addtion to the toolbox to measure bolt thread and length requirements.

Thanks, I'll get those this evening. Much much appreciated.
Honestly didn't even think about using calipers. Went a bit blank on that one.

I had a complete airbox with screws on the freebies thread for over a month. Even bumped it a couple times, no interest.

It just went out with the trash two days ago...

Didn't know there was a freebies thread or I would have tried to pick it up man.

Do you still need these or do you have some already?

Today I found eight of these when doing some routine organizing out in the garage.
Turns out I am apparently a hoarder with Alzheimers...

No. I went to the local hardware store and found some that were sufficient enough. Much appreciated though!
