415 miles!

Sunday morning we took off for Leland, WI to meet up with other fellow bikers at the Slimey Crud rally. We rode some of the better Wisconsin roads, and had a blast. This was the longest ride I had ever been on, and the best roads I have ridden. In IL; you don't exactly get stellar roads to ride on.

There were 6 other Superchickens, couple from Wisconsin, and a couple from Minnesota. Blue, Black, Red, etc.

Nice collection of bikes. Details, web site, about the ride?

They're all country roads, in and around New Glarus, Mt. Horeb, Sauk City, etc. JG was my favorite, it comes out of downtown Mt. Horeb, 2 switchbacks right off the start, and then nice elevation changes and curves the rest of the way. H down by New Glarus was awesome too!

I like the disorganized organization of the ride. :)

I've heard good things about the ride - maybe next year!

Nice variation of bikes. Sounds like a good time.

Damn. I guess I missed out. A few guys from a local forum mentioned it. I didn't think it was gonna be that big of a deal. I'll have to check it out next year.

They do a run in the fall too, from what I hear; the roads are in better condition then!:D

Was Peter Egan involved?

Looks like a big group!

415 miles on a Superchicken isn't exactly a walk in the park.

You tell me this now?:evillaugh:

I have to say, when I was about 60 miles from home, I started cramping up badly, and I started to get real sore. I rode the next day though!:)
