I would take it over an rc51.....looks killer

no the real question is if it hitsover seas will it hit america?

twitcher 06-19-2006 06:40 PM

Thanks, now I'm not obsessed with the rc51 anymore, instead I want a bike that will probably never exist. Fantastic.

I think the styling takes away from the "old-school" look of the Superhawk. It's what helped differentiate it from the supersports with their creased lines and pointy ends.

But, hey, if it was ever to be produced (the 1200 Superhawk that is), I'd probably get one...something to compete with Ducati in WSBK when they get the "ok" to go to 1200. :D

Hawkrider 06-19-2006 08:23 PM

Wow, that's a pretty good Photoshop job! I have a both bikes and there's no doubt in my mind that it's fake. Sorry guys, to be the bearer of bad news. :(

superhawk22 06-19-2006 08:28 PM

It says artist impression but if they did come out with it, It'd be pretty hard not to buy it.....sweeeet.

Randman 06-19-2006 09:01 PM

I like it too mush, yes yes....I don't want to be different, I want to be like all the other kids mommy....rrrrrrrrright.....ok then....

Pics exactly like this floated around for YEARS on the VFR boards on the new 7th gen. Took the then new CBR-RR body work and suspension and layered them on a current 6th gen VFR. Not saying I don't like it (drool) but it's a BTDT to me.

120hp/75lbs torque, let the weight go up no more than 10-15lbs since your adding beefier/modern suspension components yet keeping the price reasonable, street ergos, accessory centerstand..... where do I sigh?

sprhawk neil 06-20-2006 03:42 PM

I'd have to see one at the dealership to believe it then I'd let everyone know how it rides cause i'll buy it!!!!

seattlesucks 06-21-2006 12:09 PM

If that bike was hitting stores today, I'd leave work early, ride to cycle barn and trade in my superhawk right now. That's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

Galaxieman 06-21-2006 06:18 PM

Sorry, I hate the CBR copy. I bought my S'hawk because it's different. Now believe me, I wouldn't complain about a full fairing from the factory in addition to another 200ccs, but the 'fireblade' copy just doesn't do it for me.

+1
I like the fact that the VTR does not look like every CBR600/1000

RVO27 07-31-2006 10:19 AM

If they come out with the above Superhawk/Firestorm I'd be one of the first in line at the dealer. Especially if it's a 1200. I love it :)

cat0020 07-31-2006 12:10 PM

That picture is only an artist impression..

2007 VTR1200F

http://www.raptorsandrockets.com/ima...nda_VTR_Fr.jpg

If there is one bike that has been neglected for years in Hondas line up it is the VTR1000F Firestorm. Honda has been reluctant to develop its V-twin engine in the past but now they have to due to Euro 3. We know that a new XL1000V (or 1200…) Varadero is coming this autumn with a more powerful version of the VTR1000F engine. Perhaps with so many changes that it in effect is a new engine. At the same it is expected that the Firestorm will get its first major update and fresh design since 1996! Firestorm was launched as the first Japanese sports twin to rival the now iconic Ducati 916. We do not know whether Honda has opted for a large bore engine yet, but strategically it would have made sense if the new Firestorm became a 1200 to make it stand more out in a range that might contain two in-line four half faired 1000s next year (CBF1000 and CB1000F Hornet). Our artists impression shows a very sporty Firestorm with parts taken from the firms CBR1000RR Fireblade. With a new grunty 1200cc V-twin the bike needs a new chassis that will have been developed only for this bike.

lets hope they put in better suspension and a larger fuel tank if/when they market it - I liked 180 miles before reserve on my '92 Nighthawk 750...

ryan 07-31-2006 05:53 PM

that bike is bad ass! sign me up for one. i love my sh, but the styling screams 90's.

bluesman 08-01-2006 01:04 AM

I know it is because I am getting old :) but my dream would be 1200 cc Storm/Shawk engine (with sorted CCTs ), good forks, good shock (OK, OK, I can change it to aftermarket unit as I always do), good breaks, bigger tank and styling like this:

http://www.voxan.com/voxan/images/ac...ade_racing.jpg

I think Shawk is perfect material for fake-retro styling.

And I would never never buy it if it would look just like another Blade or Gixxer or R1 etc. etc.
RC51 is the bike to look like and go like race rep. I did not look for race rep, otherwise I'd just get myself 2005 Blade or SP2 (RC51) and relax...

And - no, I can't buy Voxan for practical reasons - I do 3000+ miles rideouts and I need reliability and access to spare parts. I need Honda-Voxan ;)
