2003 Turbohawk

Hi everyone. I have a 2003 hawk that i have been building for about a year now. So I decided to finally post the specs on it since it is finished.

Specs: 2003 blue Super Hawk
Homebuilt t3/t4 turbo system
Nitrous fogger system pieced together from spare parts (30hp shot)
Factory pro 1.1ti jet kit
Yoshimura rs3 ( only 1 muffler due to turbo )
K&N filter
Modified carb boots
Modified velocity stacks
HKS blow off valve
17/43 sprockets
Smog parts Removed
190/50 rear 120/70 front michelin pilot powers (no traction)

I will now be a frequent user of the site now that i have some free time on my hands. Hopefully i will be dynoing the bike, and running down the strip in the upcoming weeks. Soon I will upload some pics for all to see.

I look forward to chatting with you all.

Let's see some peekchurrs!

superhawk22 05-22-2006 09:26 PM

Yes, yes pix must see pics. My brother has been trying to get me to do a turbo ever since I bought my Hawk. Wonder if it's leagal for CCS racing that would make it a little more fair.

denmah 05-22-2006 09:55 PM

now, pardon me for my audacity, but i call BS until i see pics.

why would you just toss together a post like that, i have a nitrous turbo superhawk. The only one ever. And Not Post PICS.

chrisf608 05-22-2006 10:25 PM

Bullshit! altough I could be wrong but i doubt it. Turbo'd and Nos would be a heck of a thrill ride but like said BS! Plus It would take a magician to pull that off anyway I needing pics on this Its way to good to be true. Oh Yeah I have a Paxton supercharger and a 300 wet injection nos kit on my honda Spree!! HAHAHA!!!

EngineNoO9 05-23-2006 07:11 AM

one thing I don't get is saying no traction. this isn't a car. I can't think of a bike that has traction issues in a straight line. even the large hp turbo busas don't have traction issues. they have issues with not flipping the damn bike and keeping the wheel down

superhawk22 05-23-2006 07:26 AM

Jeesch, what ever happened to innocent until proven quilty guys? It's his first post and you're calling him a liar already. That's not very nice.:)

EngineNoO9 05-23-2006 08:18 AM

Lets All be nice. Lets just wait to see the pics before we rip on him anymore.:)

Pdaddy 05-23-2006 09:39 AM

This can only end one of two ways..

A. This guy is about to blow our minds and get bombed with questions.

B. This guy reads through the responses and never posts here again cause he got called the F out ! LOL

superhawk22 05-23-2006 09:45 AM

Randman 05-23-2006 09:47 AM

or option 3. he gets on his turbo hawk, speeds past each one of the nah sayers, and slaps them in the back of the head at 342mph....he he....

chrisf608 05-23-2006 09:55 AM

I doubt he Posts again;)

Why?

A large front sprocket is easier on a chain which would be beneficial when serving up large doses of HP.

Thread is USELESS without pics......

rayamx69 05-24-2006 07:44 PM

dont worry guys, i am getting the header back from ceramic coating tomorrow. i will post many pics for all you to see. And, i will go for option 3, smacking all of the naysayers at 342 mph. GPS clocked it at 198 with nitrous alone. no guesses on how fast it will go now. One thing is for sure, i need a swingarm about 18 inches longer than stock

EngineNoO9 05-24-2006 07:47 PM

I'm anxious to see pics

rayamx69 05-24-2006 07:47 PM

and engoneno9, you take something as short and light as an shawk, and put well over a hundred ft/lbs to the ground. I weigh 300 lbs and the bike pulls the front end in second without the clutch without turbo, without nitrous.

rayamx69 05-24-2006 07:48 PM

No Traction

icebud 05-24-2006 07:57 PM

One thing is sure, you know how to keep the suspense!!

Can't wait to see the pics, I only see onetime a VTR with a "bottle" and that was looking... means!!!

Keep us in touch!

rayamx69 05-24-2006 08:03 PM

2 Attachment(s)
alright, here are a couple pics from when we were building the bike to tide you over till i get some good pics for you.

rayamx69 05-24-2006 08:04 PM

now i say to all naysayers, " I hope you get beat by a 600"

icebud 05-24-2006 08:10 PM

Oh! now I understand... the bike is blue!! This is why you had to add a turbo and a "bottle" to make it goes as fast as a yellow one !!

rayamx69 05-24-2006 08:13 PM

im not going to start a color war. i dont care what color anyones hawk is, as long as they are riding a hawk. V-TWIN, LIVE LONG AND RUMBLE

superhawk22 05-24-2006 08:34 PM

That's a pretty big freaking turbo dude! What kinda boost you running, did you do anything to the engine, lower comp. or anything? Oh and the color thing's just a running gag but I think blue may be the fastest now.

rayamx69 05-24-2006 08:37 PM

yeah i know the color thing is a gag. Im only running 8 lbs of boost. the turbo is a turbonetics 60-1. Im just running stock compression for now. when i get boost happy, i will probably get some custom je pistons made.
