1999-2005 & 1998 faring the same?

So, while I was deployed and had my son guarding my SH... Someone living in my house, related to my wife, male and not my son,,,, broke the left side fairing. I was going to just pop for a new one... But the 98 version is no longer available,,,,,

So, in RED,, is another year the same as 1998?

As far as I know the Italian Red is the same for all years offered

Is it just cracked? Depending on how bad it is, I've posted on other threads how to repair the bike's plastics and other members have posted paint manufacturers and color match info on the site. E-bay has guys who sell the decals cheap if you also need those....

Yes just cracked, yes it could be repaired, repainted, and have decals stuck on top of the paint.. But it would not be OEM, it would not have the decal under a clear coat (though I guess the right painter could do it)

This bike was in perferct, under 4,000 mil condition when I bought it three years ago. The only damage on it is the cracked left fairing.

I've owned builders and rough looking but great performing modified trucks, cars and bikes my whole life.. Few years ago I bought a 2005 Mustang,, and starting with that,, I decided have a clean looking, MODIFIED vehicle was more fun then just fast.

Hence my desire to go new.. It's only $250 from ronayers.. A quality repair and paint is going to cost at least hafl that,,,, and it's still just a repair....

Thanks for the help,, and it is in the back of my mind as a second resort.

$220ish from servicehonda.com

The sticker on the fairing is not cleared over. The sticker background itself matches the paint. Kinda hard to see at first but look closely.

What partnumber are you looking at?

There is not one listed for the 98.... so which one is the Red faring forma 99, 2000?

superbling 02-03-2008 12:16 PM
