I just checked it out, and it looks pretty good. It has 38k miles though which seems considerably high to me...asking price is $2950. Normal wear and tear for that kind of mileage. the plastic is in decent condition. When you hit the throttle hard it bogs a bit but it might have been cold. nothing really stood out in terms of negative stuff. the guy mentioned that it has slight valve noise but that it's usual for these bikes. He only let me ride it in a parking lot and it was hard to get out of 1st...dont know if that should have any bearing on my decision. the guy was very knowledgeable and a mechanic by profession. that's about it i guess...what do you guys think? i was thinking about offering him 2200-2300.

 

I'd be a little worried if the throttle was bogging and he only let you ride it in a parking lot. Sounds like he's hiding something to me.

Superhawks are pretty cold-blooded. Ride it again and make sure the temp is at least 190.
