What Is The Valve Clearance On A 2005 CRF50?
Does anybody know?

When the motor is cold, take the cover off of the top/front of the head.. honda uses a 17mm hex threaded cap.
2. Take the ignition cover off the left side of the motor.

3.Take out the spark plug and turn the motor to TDC (Top Dead Center), there should be some resistance to get the lifters over the lobes and then it should be fairly easy to get it to TDC. Make sure that you dont have it where its between lobes, will be easy to turn the flywheel forwards and backwards a 1/4 turn each way.
One time it passes t it will be correct, the next it will be incorrect... understand?
4. Loosen the lock nut on the tappet adjuster.
5. Loosen the tappet adjuster and put the feeler gauge between the top of the valve and the adjuster.
6 Lightly tighten the adjuster to the point where you can still get the feeler out without much force.
7. Tighten the lock nut being sure that the adjuster doesnt move THEN remove the feeler.
8 Turn the flywheel over once to tdc and make sure that you adjusted the valve at the proper time, it will either be way loose or too tight for you to move. it should be under pressure and not loose.
9. Turn the flywheel over again and double check the gap.
10. Repeat steps 4-9 for the exhaust valve.
Clearance can go from either .002"-.006" Closer is better, but not over tight.

Probably a bit more in depth than nessecary... ;)
