Buddy in the Navy has some open time this weekend, so I'm planning on heading out to Coronado after work tomorrow. Looks to be about 6 hours/ 380 miles on the stock seat, so wish me luck! Weather should be nice, just gotta make the logistics line up as there are a couple of outlying factors still

 

Gets really windy on the stretch of I8 west of Yuma, really bad wind gusts so definitely be careful there. I've had a few sketchy moments there in a cage, couldn't imagine having to navigate that on a bike..

 

I think I'm taking the 10 out thatta way. I also have a friend in Mission Viejo that I'll be visiting, plus I know the route/ gas stations better.

 

Understandable. I just try to avoid I10 through LA at all costs.

 

I've done 6+hrs. before on my hawk. My **** hurt after, which sent me to the computer to find a different seat. Oh and a good set of helmet speakers will make the trip a lot more enjoyable. Just my .02
