Question for San Antonio Riders:

My Older Brother just moved out there for work from SoCal and he rides as well (2005 FZ1, He loves my bike though) and is looking for roads to ride out there. For his "Old Man Bike" he has been riding as long as I have been alive and is very... uh, seasoned and likes the technical stuff. If you have any ideas of roads and dont mind sharing we would appriciate it. Thanks.

The "Three Sisters" outside Uvalde is phenomenal riding, probably the best in the area.

Head north up 10 to the Hill Country. At Kerrville, to the west is lots of nice stuff. Head out on hwy 12 towards Leakey. Great roads, expect lots of traffic on weekends. To the east of Kerville, the roads around and in between Blanco, Sisterdale, and Fredicksburg are very nice. Again expect heavy traffic on weekends. If you want more detail pm and I will send road/hwy numbers.

Sorry, for not thanking you earlier. I sent him an email and he is planning a ride this weekend. He did some research and looked the roads up. He as well sends his thanks.

Hey Squid, this is probably a little late for this past weekend, but there are numerous good roads north & west of San Antonio to ride. Some of my favorites includes Hwy 16 towards Bandara. Another good rd. is 337 @ Medina, tx. towards Leakey or off 337 take 187N. to 39 to 1340 which kind of makes a big loop back to Kerrville. All these roads have lots of curves & great sceanry. If your brother is not used to this area, just tell him to watch out for the deer!
