Question Garmin Nuvi help needed (gpx files)

Do any of you use .gpx files w/ your Garmin? I'm having trouble loading shared files. Any help is greatly appreciated!
I've transfered them to the unit in the gpx folder and on the memory card. When I find them in the My Data folder and select them, my unit reboots itself.
I have a Nuvi 855.

TIA

Have you tried a firmware update? Usually if I find a new data set does something like what you just had happen it's because I'm running a new data set on an old software... go to garmin.com and plug in your device with a usb cable and run the update...(free)

Also, make sure that the card you're using is compatible I'm not sure about the 855, but I had a problem using a 8g on a 260 but the same data on a 2g was fine... go figure.

Firmware is up to date. I have no memory card issues. It has mp3 capability and I have a bunch of music on there that I listen to with no problem.

I have looked around that website before on someone else's recommendation. Maybe I'll browse around some more to see what I can find.

I appreciate your trying to help.
