Foamy Oil Suzuki DR350

Hey guys, picked up a little winter toy a month or so ago and need some opinions. When I first got the bike, the oil looked good and clean, but as I rode it more and more, some white foam started to build up underneath the oil cap. Now i know that weather conditions and ride length can make this happen, but after a 1.5 hour ride today, there was still a lot of foam under the cap. The weather was 35 degrees F and 80% humidity. Changed the oil after the ride tonight and going to see if that will help, but would this concern any of you guys? Or is this weather related.

btw, it's an air cooled engine and dry sump oil config.

Condensation in the oil. The engine is not getting hot enough, long enough to drive out the moisture. Good that you changed the oil. Any indication that the engine is running rich?

Thanks, the bike was running rich for a while, but i got the carb dialed in a few days ago.

Checked the oil again today and most of the foam is gone, and now I believe I also have an oil consumption problem.. time for a compression test.

Xeris is correct, the oil in it was old built up moisture (and probably some acids to) I have seen this many times and while air-cooled engines are less prone to it, many short trips, especially in cool weather can really beat up oil. Also using oil not JASO rated for motorcycle engines can cause issues.
