Foam rubber gasket

I'm putting a new timing belt on my sisters camry and the timing belt cover has this strange gasket that I accidentally ripped part of off. I looks like it's applied as a liquid or gel like rtv but is for all intents and purposes foam rubber. Does anyone have any clue what this stuff is and where I can get a tube or can?

I'd clean the entire thing off and use oil resistant RTV.

That's what happened, I'm still really curious what the stuff was though. It's not from the factory but it seems like it would be handy to have on the shelf.

The only function of the timing belt cover gasket (or seal) is to keep dust out, and maybe splashed water, from rain.

It's usually a thin rubber gasket from the factory. You could probably just let it go, but if you use RTV get black, so it doesn't look like a hack job. I've never seen a substitute for the OEM gasket on the hundreds of timing belts I've done or supervised. But I've seen a number with the gasket missing, if the belt had been replaced before. But then, we don't get a lot of rain around here.
