Engineering Internship ideas?
I got a good one for you guys.
As a sophomore Mechanical Engineering student, I'm in the market to find an internship for the summer of 2012. My university partners with quite a few companies, but they're mostly oil and energy. I'd like to do some sort of weapons development. Whether small arms or military technology, It's all something of interest to me. I'm posting because I figured some of you guys might have ideas on larger companies you think I should apply to. Simply put here are my preferences. Military Technology Small Arms Development Automotive Engineering Oil/Energy Engineering It has to be something that uses Mechanical Engineers. International companies are preferred, but they have to have a branch in the US. For example, BP is a big one here at OU. (My sis just got a job with them.) Other than that I'm open to all ideas. |
Lots of weapons related companies in the Phoenix area... Also, try Taser International in Scottsdale... I know that they had an internship program this past summer.
Edit: If you want me to look into it, I can... they took EE's and ME's for sure, though. |
a friend of my son has a girlfriend who did her internship with BMW in Greenville SC. I'm not sure what college she attended as part of it though.

Anything medical related will be more resistant to economic fluctuations
