Driving in Russia

Just wanted to share this video that one of our members posted elsewhere ;) Don't know if it's the Vodka or just bad driving, you will be the judge :)
All of these videos are very resent 2010-2012, I just wonder how many are not filmed....

Driving in Russia || TNL - YouTube

Well, at least the horse used the zebra crossing, so someone knows the rules... ;)

Trust me, having driven more than once in Russia, these are the better drivers... Notice how more than one of the video's show people taking their bag and coat leaving the car almost immidiately? I have seen them crash the car, and calmly walk a block or two to the bus stop like it's just part of their normal day... Wierd country...

nath981 11-18-2012 02:34 PM

I heard of defensive driving, but never offensive driving.......aggression without discretion. haha

wow! Some crazy shit. thanks for sharing.

Not sure if its the vodka? Like when Homer Simpson took a wine tasting class then forgot how to drive?

Even still I dont know if they are worse than American drivers. Maybe there is no liability laws there so they dont care.

Yeah, its the vodka

I know Russians can be tough people, but this is just crazy, pure chaos.

Good question. I don't know, but I do believe he was once a kazoo player, most likely thrown out of his High School band for insubordination, and now he's trying to make it on his own.

And, on another note, I was reminded of the first ruskie vid you posted yesterday when i came around a curve at a respectable pace, and this girl in a civic came off a side road into my path( i don't believed she stopped for the stop sign). She swerved wildly into the other lane to avoid hitting me, then even further off the road onto the berm, like extreme over-reaction was my thought.

Anyway, I looked over at her and put my hand up in disbelief, and continued on down the road. Couple miles later, i see her coming at a pretty good pace, headlights on. The next thing i know she's on my ass at a stop sign. Probably gettin my plate number, again. haha

Really, we're not much different here. If i could have filmed alot of shit I saw running the US in my semi, and some of the idiots I've encountered riding, I could have made my own video huh!

so you want me to mod your rear signals for ya huh?

Yes sure, is this an online motorcycle club of some kind?

cybercarl 01-10-2013 12:12 AM

Wow you have a Russian. LOL I juat love these vids, great entertainment and quite unbelievable sometimes. It seems the Russians are really into their Vehicles and not all just the typical stereotypical Lada's.
Vladimir do you have to take some kind of driving test there before being allowed to drive. Or is that people just don't listen plus the driving conditions IE. weather.

(:-})

NHSH 01-10-2013 02:00 PM

Wow, I knew now days you can get everything in Russia, but that collection is impressive! Now, forget about the cars for a moment, how about the other collection? ;)

Vladimir 01-11-2013 12:55 PM

Ded Moroz (Santa Claus) chases in Novosibirsk)))

nath981 01-11-2013 05:20 PM

if i didn't see it, I wouldn't belief it could be done. What kind of tires could carry that kind of speed in such a controlled manner in deep snow? unbelieveable! I don't think i could ever trust that other drivers/pedestrains would not get in the way at those speeds. I need some vodka after that. ha

think I may have answered my own question:

SNATCH-Speak English - YouTube

LOL is "Laughing Out Loud" and IE usually means "That Is".

BTW, Snatch is one of the best movies I have seen in recent years, it makes me laugh every time I watch it :))) and if you know all the background and nuances for each culture involved in this movie, It makes it even more funny!!!
