2 words, very impressive.
I saw this video posted on the SV boards. WOW:eek:, this guy can ride. I know it's all slow speed, but still. The SH or the SV could never be flicked around like that.

I think a SH could be tossed around like that, if setup right, LIKE MINE
upright seating, wide bars for good leverage, and put on a big diet. |

Ever seen a police rodeo? You'd be AMAZED how a HARLEY can be ridden with the right skills. I'm sure an SV or a Superhawk could be ridden like that with the right rider (not me ;) )

You sure can toss around a VTR or SV (especially) like that. That video looks like the Japanese motorcycle police training. In another video they are doing the same thing but with a much larger and heavier VFR800.

Yeah, I guess I'm wrong. The Super can be tossed around, just not as quickly. I found a vid with a big bike and it's quite a bit slower. The SV on the other hand could probably be hustled pretty good. I've never seen that sport before. Pretty different than the racing I've been accustomed to seeing.
Truck, I've seen the Ken Block vid before. He's got mad skills. |
I frequently watch the Ken Block video. Personally I feel car racing is boring and borderline homo, but his video amazes me with the perfection of every move.
Finding an empty parking lot with good pavement can be a lot of fun and very helpful for improving basic skills and becoming better acquainted with your bike. I try to do it from time to time and the slow speed skills definitely carry over to high speed manuevering and confidence. Wish this was more common in the US. But hey, we have NASCAR yeehaw! Barf! |
