I'll sand and paint it this weekend if the weather holds out.

Did you ever get pics of the left side? If so please post them as well as mounted if you've gotten it put on cuz I'm thinking about getting one myself.

I bought the lower fairing and it sucked....it did not want to fit my bike...I had to cut the very back out under neath where the exhaust meets into one and then cut each side to fit the muffle pipe exit....it is not worth it to me....I did have to even use the brackets they sent it fit so tight....if you want a real fairing here is one I am buying for my bike !!! http://web.tiscali.it/mario_nava/vtr1000r_e.html

This makes me glad I went with the Sharkskinz one. The thing fits perfect, like it was meant for the bike! and it came super fast, like 7-8 days after I paid them, when they told me two to three weeks to get it made.

Hummmm.... down to $150 now and they even have one listed at $140. That's probably worth a try even if you had to tweak it a bit. Personally I don't like the look of those lower fairings, but that's just personal preference.
