How loud is the yosh exhaust? And is there any major damage/ more pics?

pchrist 05-02-2014 08:41 AM

No major damage at all. It is a lot quieter than the jardines.

In these pictures they are just a lil dirty some water spots.

I can get more pics tonight of them. I had a vid of it but not sure where it went. Let me know if there is something specific you want a picture of.

Nah nothing specific, I'm just sick of my loud DanMotos, and yours look like they're in good condition for the price. Also, I get paid today. Paint me in the purchase queue pending the future pics!

Will work on pics tonight for sure. I really like the high mounts that's why I went that route. These worked perfect while I had them. I wish the high mounts sounded a little more like this.

I remember a friend had them on his bike and even shortened I was very surprised how quiet they were. Not as quiet as stock mufflers of course but noticeably more "muffled" than the bark you get with any other aftermarket pipes I've heard. I've heard race baffle Yoshimuras on a TL and they're pretty loud (sound amazing though) but these street mufflers for the superhawk are much quieter. If you're after a more subdued but still nice sound I'd say they're the ticket

7moore7, did you add the DanMoto baffles they offer? I did and they quieted down a bunch. Too much for my liking, so I modified the baffles by cutting off the last 1/8" with the plug, making them a straight-through design again. The reduction in inlet size helped to kill the "bark" or "crack" they make under mid throttle at low RPM. So the stock baffles quiet them down a lot, and the modified baffles quiet them down a little, but more importantly, control the sound through those super thin cans.

My new TwoBros M2 Vale Carbon Oval system is louder than the DanMotos with the modified baffles, but sounds deeper and better, in my opinion. I plan to try the baffle available for them.

Yeah I have the baffles, and they helped a little (took the sharpness off). But I'm running the titanium GP set and there just isn't enough packing to do much muffling. Honestly the sound is pretty good for what they are, I just gets tedious as a DD announcing that I'm coming miles before I get there.
