Is damaged ok?

I've got one you can have for free if you pay the shipping. The catch? It's off of bike that sat for a LONG time and it varnished the gas. The result, it rusted the inside of the tank. It's pretty bad I'm not gonna lie. I don't know if it is salvageable but maybe if you put some work into it and bought one of those kits to clear and reaseal tanks it would be worth it? It's off of a 2001. It also has some rash but it's not too bad. If you're interested I can get pics for you.

I have a yellow tank in very good shape. cover it up with a blanket and no one will be able to tell it doesn't match the paint on your bike :-)

Not to be stealing jaeger's tank. but I need one too for the bike I'm going to be buying. I'd be interested in trying to salvage this tank. PM'd Camo

I have a red tank for sale in almost perfect conditions. It's off a Firestorm. I'll post some pics tonight. Make me an offer :)
